These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of Svant’s website, our app at app.svant.in, and related products and services (together, the “Services”). By accessing or using the Services, or by placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Services. By using the Services, you represent that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate.
2. Your account
You are responsible for the information you provide and for all activity under your account. Keep your login credentials confidential and notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. We may suspend or terminate accounts for conduct that violates these Terms or that is abusive towards our team.
3. The Svant service
Svant lets you upload photos of your space, generate AI-assisted redesigns, and purchase the products shown — including catalogue items and bespoke, made-to-order furniture. AI-generated designs and visualizations are for illustration only; actual products, dimensions, colours, and finishes may vary. Because many pieces are handcrafted from natural materials, minor variations in grain, colour, size, and finish are inherent and are not defects.
4. Your content and the rights you grant us
You retain ownership of the photos and content you upload (“Your Content”). You grant Svant a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, process, and use Your Content to operate and improve the Services, generate your designs, and fulfil your orders. You represent that you have the rights necessary to upload Your Content.
5. Orders, pricing, and payment
- An order confirmation acknowledges your order but does not by itself constitute our acceptance; a contract is formed only when we accept and dispatch the order. We may refuse or cancel an order — including for pricing errors, suspected fraud, or unavailability.
- Prices are listed in Indian Rupees (INR) and, unless stated otherwise, are inclusive of applicable taxes. We may change prices and correct errors at any time.
- Full payment is required before an order is dispatched. You agree to pay all charges and applicable taxes for orders placed through your account.
- Requested changes to a confirmed order are accommodated at our discretion, may incur additional charges for labour and materials, and may extend the delivery date.
6. Custom and made-to-order items
Bespoke and made-to-order products are produced to your specifications. Because these items are customized, they may be non-cancellable and non-returnable once production has begun, except where they arrive damaged or defective or where required by law.
7. Shipping & delivery
- We ship across India through trusted logistics partners. International shipping may be available on request; all international shipping charges, duties, and transit risk are borne by the buyer.
- Products are insured while in transit until delivered to you. You will receive tracking details by email. Orders may require a signature on delivery and cannot be redirected once dispatched.
- Timelines (estimates): all items will be delivered together unless there is a practical need to split deliveries. In-stock items are typically ready to ship within 7-10 days; custom or made-to-order items are typically ready to ship within 30-45 days, as shown on the product page.
- Doorstep delivery: for ground-floor residences and offices, items are handed over at your doorstep. In multi-level buildings without service access, items may be placed in a secure lobby or reception after notifying the security desk. Arranging manpower to carry items into the space is the customer’s responsibility unless installation is included with your order.
- Please confirm product dimensions and access routes before ordering. Svant and its logistics partners are not responsible if a product does not fit your space or entry route. Risk and ownership pass to you on delivery.
8. Returns, cancellations & refunds
- Cancellations: orders (other than custom or made-to-order items) may be cancelled within 24 hours of placing the order. Clearance, final-sale, and display items cannot be cancelled or returned.
- Damaged or defective items: report any manufacturing or transit-related defect within 10 days of delivery, with supporting photographs or video, by emailing customercare@svant.in. We will arrange a repair, replacement, or refund as appropriate.
- Refunds: approved refunds are issued to the original payment method, typically within 7 business days of our receiving the returned item; your bank may take additional time to credit the amount. Refunds on discounted orders exclude the discount amount, and vouchers are single-use, non-refundable, and non-transferable.
- Sale items: products purchased on sale are final and are not eligible for returns, replacements, or exchanges, except where required by law.
- Price protection: if an item you purchased is discounted within 7 days of your purchase, contact us within that window for store credit equal to the difference. Price protection is issued as store credit only, not as a cash refund.
9. Warranty
- Svant warrants that products are free from manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for the applicable warranty period, running from the date of delivery. Unless stated otherwise on the product page or your order confirmation, most furniture carries a limited warranty of 12 months; certain categories may carry a longer period and select decor items a shorter one.
- To claim: email customercare@svant.in with your order number and photographs of the issue, and retain your proof of purchase — it is required to process any claim.
- Not covered: normal wear and tear, ageing, fading, or
staining; damage from misuse, neglect, accidents, harsh or abrasive
cleaning agents, or pets; natural characteristics of wood, leather, and
other materials (such as grain and colour variation); products used outdoors
unless expressly stated; and any product altered or repaired by
unauthorized parties or not purchased directly from Svant. Unauthorized
alterations void the warranty.
The wood used in our solid wood furniture is fully treated. However, natural warping and movement of the wood, which are characteristics of solid wood and influenced by temperature and humidity, are not covered under warranty. - Items repaired or replaced under warranty remain covered for the remainder of the original warranty period.
- Individual comfort preferences are not considered manufacturing defects.
10. Intellectual property
The Services, including our software, designs, trademarks, and content (excluding Your Content), are owned by Svant or our licensors and are protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Services for their intended purpose.
11. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Services unlawfully or in violation of these Terms.
- Upload content that is illegal, infringing, or that you lack rights to.
- Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or misuse the Services or their AI systems.
12. Disclaimers
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, except as expressly set out in Section 9 (Warranty) or as required by law. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI outputs will meet your expectations.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Svant will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the Services. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Svant harmless from claims, losses, and expenses arising out of your use of the Services, Your Content, or your violation of these Terms.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Subject to applicable law, the courts at Ernakulam, Kerala will have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
